Questions About Our Brewing Courses?

We've gathered answers to the questions we hear most often from people just starting their home brewing journey.

Not at all — we cover equipment setup as part of our Fundamentals course, so you'll understand what you actually need before spending money. We'll walk you through the basics and help you figure out what's worth buying versus what you can improvise.

The actual brewing day is usually 4–6 hours, but the full process from start to finished beer takes about 4–6 weeks. That includes fermenting (2–3 weeks), bottling, and carbonating. We'll teach you what to do at each stage so you're not just waiting around wondering if something's wrong.

We recommend starting with Fundamentals if you've never brewed before — you'll understand fermentation, temperature control, and why hops matter the way they do. If you've already brewed a few batches, our Hop Selection course dives straight into varieties, flavor profiles, and timing techniques without repeating the basics.

Extract brewing uses pre-made malt extract (think of it as a shortcut), while all-grain means you're mashing whole grains yourself. Extract is faster and more forgiving for beginners — your first batch can be extract. All-grain gives you more control and is the traditional approach, but it's more complex. We teach both, so you can choose what fits your setup and patience level.

We're based in Plzeň and offer hands-on courses here, which is really where the learning happens — you're actually brewing, not just watching. If you're interested in what we offer, get in touch and we can talk about what works best for your situation.

Most first batches turn out surprisingly well when you follow the process and keep things clean. Yeah, you might end up with something a bit rough or off, but that's how you learn. We'll help you troubleshoot, and by your second or third batch, you'll be making beer that's genuinely good — sometimes better than what you'd buy.
